  16. Rive, Geneva, Switzerland"--for years, that address was instantly
  17. recognizable to every cultivated smoker on earth as the location
  18. of Zino Davidoff's shop. Davidoff's ready supply of the very
  19. best aged, hand-rolled Havanas made Rue de Rive a point of pilgrimage
  20. for crowned heads, millionaires, statesmen and film stars who
  21. shared a love of tobacco. Davidoff sold millions of his world-class
  22. cigars in more than 100 stores around the globe and marketed
  23. a line of men's toiletries. He spread the gospel with his Connoisseur's
  24. Book of the Cigar and his own quotable presence. "You should
  25. never smoke a cigar except in moments of repose and reflection,"
  26. he once said. "There is an enormous part of sensuality in cigar
  27. smoking."
